The creator of The Hamper Co. Geraldton. 

Here’s a little bit about how we got started and how this business has grown into what it is today.. 

It was Christmas 2014, My Mum had purchased a bunch of individual, local products as Christmas gifts for some family members. 

She wanted to make her gifts look nice so I gave her an idea to make them into gift hampers! I  purchased some hamper boxes and cellophane and let my creative mind run wild. I had a blast arranging the products in our hamper boxes and then wrapping them in the cellophane, trying to make them look as pretty as possible!

Come February 2015 I had an idea to try make some cute Valentine’s Day gifts and see if they sold using Buy & Sell on Facebook. I was blown away by the response and completely sold out of them! Then thought, WOW this could be a cool little business.

From there, my home based ‘hobby’ business, ‘Jacinta’s Gift Hampers’ was born. As I was also working full time at a local Real Estate Office - this new business was a fun creative outlet that I could enjoy when I got home and over the weekends. In 2018 we rebranded to The Hamper Co. Geraldton. I was excited for a new logo and to have more of an ‘official’ business name! 

In May 2019, I officially opened our doors to Geraldton’s first and only Gift Hamper shop where you can purchase ready-made hampers but also create your own using our gourmet and unique products.

5 years later, this business is still thriving and I am so lucky that Geraldton continues to support my dream in providing convenient, gourmet gifting.
